What We Believe
Here is a short summary of what we as a church believe in.
We Believe...
That the bible is the inspired word of God and it is to be trusted as our supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We Believe...
In one God, creator of heaven and earth. A God that has revealed Himself to us as a trinity of three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We Believe...
That Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a perfect life and was put to death on the cross.
We Believe...
He rose from the dead on the first Easter Sunday and ascended into heaven, where He is at Gods right hand. He will come again in power and glory to establish His Kingdom.
We Believe...
All people are sinners and therefore under God's condemnation to eternal punishment. By His death on the cross, Jesus Chris took the punishment for our sin if we choose to accept Him.
We Believe...
That those who repent of their sin and accept by faith Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord:
- Receive Gods forgiveness of their sin
- Are adopted by God as His children
- Have the promise of eternal life
- Experience the indwelling of the Holy Spirit
We Believe...
That the presence on the Holy Spirit should be shown by:
- An ever increasing reflection of Christ's character in daily living.
- A developing awareness and exercise of spiritual gifts that God is pleased to give, as He chooses, to His people.
